Yeah, I did that, but it zoomed in too far for my liking. When I open the March issue, it's set at a zoom I like, whereas the April zoom is much larger.
I think the zoom varies depending on the resoluton you have your display. I could make the actual pages bigger for higher res, but then they'd be massive on lower res screens. It's finding a comfortable middle that everyone is happy with, it may take a few issues till all the kinks are flattened out.
If anyone else has the issue then please let me know, I need the feedback to improve the magazine.
It's not a super big deal, just letting you know it didn't really work for me. Is there a way to add a variable zoom to the pages? That would probably be best.
Not that I can see, there's just a zoom function, no adjustments.
I'm working at 1024x768, which is also the combine size of the two pages put together. Before the next issue I'll do a few tests and see how the larger resolution pages work out.
Another great issue folks. I have to say that I am very impressed with the whole concept.
April's edition of 12th Fleet magazine marks the first released since my joining the fleet. I had, however, read the March issue prior to joining, and was amazed by the obvious work that went into it--I had no idea I would end up being a member of the 12th in less than a month!
Funny how that works.
Anyway, I have not yet gone back through and fully read the backdated issues, but I will be doing so as time allows. I have briefly glanced at them, however, and I just have to say that this has been an excellent project from day one from what I can tell. April's issue is no exception.
And a special thanks to Strom for sharing Aurora's story. I had only been a member of Aurora for a few months at the time of our transition to the 12th, but I still found your sentiments to ring very true for me. Also a HUGE thanks to all of the good folks of the 12th--my time here has been amazing and I have already made some good contacts and have had a lot of fun.
Also, thank you to the Magazine staff for another great issue. I hope to get the time to write up an article myself in the near-ish future.
Again a very excellent edition! I'm glad that the Marh of the 12th RP was included. I'm sure enjoying the collaboration on that.
Thanks Anubis for the mention of Liberation of the Libation! Quite a surprise to see that!

Well, tried out the magazine at home (as opposed to work) and I think I see what my issue is. The magazine, when zoomed, still lies between the top and bottom blue rounded borders. If it filled the screen top to bottom while zoomed in that would work better for me.
I don't mean to dwell on a minor issue too much, the whole issue was great!
