If I may make a suggestion; instead of asking people for questions when the magazine is "going to print", or you're getting down to the wire ... why not setup of a forum area in Fleet Talk or something? Call it "Questions to the Dev's" ... or whatever. But make an avenue available that members can post questions that they have any time they have one. Then, when you're looking for questions to send up to Cryptic, you'll have a pool (hopefully) to draw from.

Re: Fleet Magazine - March 2011
Yes and no, last time I asked questions I made a topic about it in Fleet talk to gather feedback. Many questions are often already answered in other interviews though, or through information Cryptic released before that. It's better to ask for questions that people have at that moment then ask for questions that might be answered several months in the future. Most questions are about issues playing at that moment.
Since there is about 3 - 4 months between dev interviews that I keep a lot of the questions asked throughout that period will already be answered through other sources. It's also putting a huge workload on me if I have to go through a topic of 20 pages wiht questions rather than a topic of 5 pages with questions.
In short, though your suggestion has some merit, I'm afraid it's not very practical.
As it was I spent a good two hours looking up the questions, putting them in a sensible order, inform people why their questions wouldn't be asked, pming people with feedback about how they meant questions, pming requests to shorten their question, fixing spelling/ grammar in questions asked etc.
I don't want to lose a full day on doing all that, on top of everything I'm already doing for the fleet.

I try to keep the text readable in all areas, I must have missed that part, for which I apologise
Incase anyone was wondering, this edition took me about 7 hours to put together over the course of a week.

Greetings All
like we say in CT " Anyone alive who has not made a mistake has not learned anything"
So great work on all those who work on the magazine, who knows fleet members who now know the effort it takes to make a good magazine may join up and make your work a little bit easier. Thanks All Truely Awesome work

Thank you Nishka for breaking down and explaining to me how much time and preparation is put in when making the Fleet Magazine, it seems like very damanding work but the great magazine we got this month shows that the hard work has payed off, I think Firix was just being modest thou, and any mistakes that may have been made on this magazine will only be fixed in the next one thats the learning curbWe're more efficient at it now, but it still requires quite some time from start to finish for the magazine. A lot of time is spent on preperations, like gathering interview questions, contacting Cryptic, making sure we get enough articles every month, writers writing their their articles, Blaze taking care of the art, etc.
All in all quite some time is invested in it, but we streamlined it in such a way that the pressure on those involved is low these days.
As we say in the Netherlands, "many hands make light work."

So great work on all those who work on the magazine, who knows fleet members who now know the effort it takes to make a good magazine may join up and make your work a little bit easier. Thanks All Truely Awesome work

Having read Fleet Magazine for the first time I was very impressed by the professional appearance (loved the look) and writing. The Cryptic interview was a very nice coup also.
Thanks for putting this together!
