Chatter box? I thought that is what the STO forum page was for.

LOL I'm still using XP I bought when it was just out when i got my first computer. YEARS latter i have gone through 4 computers and im still using the same key. EVIL LOL. I got my monnys worth outa this OS... God i hope this new windows 7 isnt complet crap like vista so i can get a new OS.

It is but why not have one on our own home page? Or a back up for when the main forum is down? Thus Chatter box... I say we all bust out the old chemistry kits and start experimenting wile we are hear. WE could make this the research page as well... Hehehehe

I would be hesitant to call any Microsoft product "brilliant", but, I myself, am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate and it's clean, sharp looking, and runs very well thus far on my computer. I do little on Windows, however, other than play games. Most of my production work is via Linux. When STO runs on Linux, I'll be playing it there

Photoshop is fun... just WAY too expensive!

Oh... just because I'm THAT sort of guy, here are some nice artistic alternatives...
<alt> <--equivalent to--> <big name app>
GIMP <----> Photoshop
Inkscape <----> Illustrator
Blender <----> 3DStudio/Maya/Lightwave
Open Office <----> Microsoft Office

I love Open Office, Blender and Inkscape.. But I never could change over from photoshop to Gimp

Windows 7 is much better than Vista or windows XP.. So if you're like me and need windows for gaming, then win 7 is by far the best version available. I doubt there will be a native linux version of STO anytime soon :/

I'm still using the evaluation copy. It's great, much more stable than Vista and faster than XP. It's what vista should be + more. I'm definately upgrading to retail version soon!

Windows 7 only crashed once for me.. when i accidently bumped into a network cable unplugging the pci card

so I won't blame windows for that.

LOL true. I gess it's time for me to go out get a new hard drive and get a new windows os. I'll do it after the hollidays im kinda outa monny at the moment. XD
