The console from the Eagle is very good. (at least until Cryptic nerfs it)

sadly i cant justify spending that kind of cash.

Seems there is a nerf incoming soon for the Eagle console. I just hope it's just an adjustment and it isn't rendered completely useless.

Well the Eagle console "nerf" was in the patch notes this morning. Will be interesting to see how much they've knocked it down.

Resolved an issue with the Universal Console - Covert Warhead Module where this console could sometimes cause the Torpedo global cooldown to reach 0.

Looks like it will prevent the global cooldown from going below a certain number which will prevent rapid fire torps. The question is what's the cooldown threshold.

I tested it a few minutes ago. It has definitely been reduced, but it is still very good. I will do some more testing when I get online later. Right now, I am just glad to see that they didn't nerf it into oblivion.

After further testing, the console is still very good. It is still worth a slot on torp boats, especially on Pilot torp boats which use torpedoes that have shorter cooldowns.

They actually did a sensible adjustment with this one.

For a change! Hopefully it isn't just to put minds at ease until the sales are over and then they'll nerf it.

It would seem that they set some yet unknown floor for minimum shared cooldown reduction for torps.

Upon further testing, the addition (or subtraction) of the Ferrofluid Hydraulic Assembly console ( https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Console_-_U ... embly/Info) seems to make no difference now, at least on Pilot ships.

I will keep digging to see if I can determine where that floor is, and whether any other traits, consoles, and duty officers affect it.
