Is NYE really the only day that works for anyone?

Well, I forgot I have a work conflict with the afternoon of Sunday the 18th until 6PM CST. So that leaves either the 17th or the 31st.

Ocie definitely has a conflict with the 17th, and he has established that he follows through when he commits to attending, which gives his conflict more weight. Is there anyone with a definite conflict on the 31st? If anyone cannot come on the 31st, but can make the 17th, that would tip the balance with the additional consideration of the general "preference" against News Year Eve. But preferences alone do not outweigh conflicts, per the scheduling rules (see above).

The 17th would be better for me.
