So just the crappy 8 thing but smaller?
Yes that is the start button, its smaller than normal as I have the "use small taskbar buttons" option turned on, otherwise I believe its twice that size. :)

I'm currently using 7 myself, I never wanted to download the mistake that was 8. I am going to wait till October until MS releases the first major patch and go from there. 10 looks promising just going to wait a bit and see :rommie:

I have upgraded my Windows computer. Went smoothly. Had an issue with graphics in STO being horrible, but resetting the settings and then turn it up to max again made it fine.

Hmm, I'm still on 7. I had 8 when I upgraded my computer, but decided to go back to 7. I should really have done the same as Husker. Not sure about 10, I haven't tried it either.

So there is not problems with 10 and STO I take it?

I'm gonna be holding off for a month or so. I have some bad experience with upgrades.

My pc just keeps saying "thanks for registering, yadda yadda, rolling out in waves, yadda yadda".

Upshot is, no upgrade for WelshAvenger today.

You may be having the same problem I did.

Update keeps failing for whatever reason. Try the above and it should kick it off if you want it to.

Otherwise if you don't want to mess with all that, you can simply download and install it yourself.
