Really, this should not surprise anyone by now. Cryptic has deliberately designed the game so that cruisers using FAW are the best option. Using anything else is generally not optimal. So obviously they'll release cruisers first, escorts second and... Is their a third type of ship? I don't remember

Anyways, the Excelsior is one of the best looking cruisers in Star Trek (not that horrible Cryptic skin but the original ST III look) so I'll probably get it.

There has been a pretty good balance of Escorts and Cruisers recently. The only ships to lose out are the sci ships. It doesn't seem fair to say another Cruiser with the large amount of Escorts ships that have recently came out.

Pity they didn't roll a T6 K'Tinga with it.

I'd be curious to see the rest of the ship design, the command ships had a kind of excelsior look with their neck and deflector.
