With the way they've been doing T6 ships (after the initial unbalanced set with DR and the Pathfinder at least) it doesn't seem unreasonable to give Feds their first true raiders and Romulans their first full carriers so they can continue the same parity without denying anybody a major ship line.
The Aquarius is a raider. BOPs have all universal stations. There's a big difference.

Frankly, I'm opposed to giving everybody the same things. It dilutes the uniqueness of the factions. Keep the BOPs and carriers on the KDF side and good science ships on the Fed side.

That's . . . well, it's just disappointing is what that is. An awful mix of several current ship designs, deflector from the pathfinder, a bit of Defiant hull, nacelles as part of the superstructure like the Steamrunner and the stubby wings from Thunderbird 2 :)

I can live with that design as a Fed ship... Where's my BoP? Heh...

And in true Bird of Prey fashion (Universal seating), it could be the first ship with a truly universal seat (Intel/Command/Pilot)... Not that we'll see that anytime soon, but hey.
So much for Photo Bucket.

Amen to that. Wasn't there a time that they would just release one ship for one faction. (yeah it was usually fed) but when we got other faction ships they were different and could be like whoooo things just for us. I feel everything is cookie cutter now.

Yep. That's what happens when profit is the #1, #2 and #3 consideration.

that's the same ship Tom Paris is commanding in the new Delta Flight mission...I actually rather like the looks of that one (ignoring the fact that it draws from a completely different design aesthetic than the bulk of the Federation fleet). I might have to eventually put that ship on one of my characters...not sure which one though...will have to wait and see stats.

I guess for me it's like the starving man... You really want food that's tailored to your needs and desires, but when you haven't been fed in so long and someone offers you food meant for someone else but looking slightly different, you tend to go "OHH FOOD!!" and chow down...

And if you don't.. the cook just goes... "See they weren't that hungry anyway, they don't need food."
