I'm currently testing the alcohol as a memory aide idea... I'll let you know if it works..... providing I remember to do so.

If you genuinely want to give it a try, get drunk, read a short article (cracked.com has some good ones) try to recall it sober, then later on get drunk again and try to recall it again.

I'm not sure it'll work for me professionally though, the RVCS tend to frown on us being drunk at work, for good reason.
