Such a shame that some of that lock box money couldn't be put to better use. More people would play the KDF if they spent a little time polishing the flow of game play and improving the quality of the missions.
This. So much this.

Edit: but you have that flank bonus!

At least Cryptic is consistent.

Here's the real reason why Cryptic won't do anything for KDF except to create copies of Fed ships:

It's the same cycle that doomed PvP: if players aren't playing X, we won't create content for X.

What Cryptic don't (or won't) is that if you neglect X for years, players won't play X.

We got the first few remastered episodes as a side project, and most of the new Klingon content since then was to give them enough campaign for them to start at level 1 and still get through to the shared stuff.
This.

I am glad, however, that we got our full faction (and it is these days), along with the Romulan Expansion.

While that comment is narrowly focused, it can also be read to mean no more Faction-specific content period. I would not expect any uniquely Fed or Rom missions either.

The exceptions being remastered eps of course, like the recent changes Fed-side.

We have also seen a change in approach to other things like Costumes and the like, for example, many of the Fed-Costumes have now been given away, and new costumes seem to be cross-faction and claimed through means other than the C-Store.

We have known for a long time that Feds get more love in general, and that's fine at this point. At least Klingon fans can roll a level one Toon and grind on pretty much equal footing...

Now ships, on the other hand, we could use a bit more attention there, but frankly there are so many Fed and cross-faction ships coming out almost monthly, that there are already a nearly overwhelming assortment to choose from.

Personally, I rather see a way to further advance/ upgrade existing ships over the constant flood of new ones.

But that is perhaps a different discussion entirely.

As to content, I actually like that the new story arcs are larger than any one faction. This game could easily have never had Klingon (or Romulan) content at all, so I am pretty glad it's there, playable, and enjoyable.

The current Klingon early game feels pretty complete to me.

I can see the reason to weep. Content specific means "flavour" specific, which is what some of the die hard faction followers (like me for Roms) love so much. I finally took the soup and made a fed character.

When listening to the P-One Pod Cast with Rivera, he said in addition to not making new Faction specific content, that going forward some of the missions that are cross-faction will have some centricity incorporated, in other words a global mission could be told from a Klingon perspective for example.

So that's good news in the context of the OP.

Ya. I was running some of the missions around DS9 and they are all told from the Federation point of view. It would be nice if they would put a little more thought into how the mission plays for a Klingon or a Romulan. Guess we'll see.

After DR, I binned off my Klingon and Rommie toons because of grind. I have two other Fed toons that haven't been touched in months. With the way the game is now and how it looks to be heading, would you create a Cardassian toon when they get released and try and grind it to 60 and then grind for gear? Looking at those faction percentages, they'd almost have to ask themselves if it's worth the investment of time and resources.
