That'll truly kill my interest in this game.
It's taken this long?

In light of how the game's going, I have only two questions to ask with regards to future content:

1) How much will it cost?

2) How long before it's working properly?

Well it could streamline things and make tweaking builds easier so I can see how it might be good, it could reduce the need for carrying billions of boffs to have subtly different skill setups. You could get your boffs with good traits (which doesn't look like it's changing) and swap skills in and out.

But equally the track record we have here from Cryptic would tend to suggest that it's going to be poorly tested and require a few patches to work anywhere near properly.

We will see......

I cant shake off a bad feeling about this...
As mentioned in previous posts, it may slow down any remaining progression left in this game, and why does everything have to go through a variation of the crafting system these days? Its reduced my playable toons from 3 to 1, because I dont have the time or resources to run all of my 3 toons, my only hope is to rank up my main and then spread the wealth when he's levelled up with all the right gear and enough resources saved for him to pay out for 2 more toons.

Im already bored of this game due to the dwindling population of players not able or willing to pug any PVE runs anymore, I could be sat around for an eternity waiting for 4 more people, out of the hundreds of thousands of players Cryptic boast about, to click the join button. Its come to a point where im actually playing Space Engineers alongside STO and switching between the 2 games (lucky my computer can run them both at the same time), its hard to get a team together with the fleet due to my "off-peak" play times.
This DR expansion must give an alienating impression towards a lot of casual players out there.

But I digress, the reason im a bit weary of this new Boff system could be because it seems a bit too complex for me, im still coming to terms with the crafting system.

2) How long before it's working properly? the same length of time it takes for them to make it so a boff on the same ship doesnt decloak you while stating the belatent obvious

Hmm, sounds interesting enough, I will just have to see it in action.

Well if this is building towards the day when a FLEET Admiral can assign their bridge officers as playable characters (Captains) in one of HER many fleet owned ships then I'm okay with getting my BOFF's ready.

If theyre going to monetize it then they should rework it so that you can turn every ability you have into a Tier III ability regardless of its slot.

They obviously could careless about powercreep as their 'fix' with DR has done nothing but force players into the DPS race.

I enjoy this game because its F2P...But its really making me miss P2P games and Im honestly looking at going back to ESO. Atleast there I'll know I have access to things without having flashing my wallet at every turn.

I am holding of judgement until I try this, but like a lot of you, I have a bad feeling about this. I hope this is not just another money pit. I'd like the Devs to prove me wrong.
