That's a good analogy.
Nice analogy.
Though I think that since Sweet and Sour Chicken is right up Abrams' proverbial alley, and since the original chef went crazy and ruined the last few batches of chicken anyway, there is a very good chance that where Abrams failed with Chili he'll make a much better meal of the Sweet and Sour Chicken to come than we have feasted on for decades.
And seeing as I am not an Abrams fan, the previous statement is saying something.
