I find that really hard to get over.

Is this a reboot or is it part of the original Jurassic PARK storyline?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)My understanding of things is that shortly after The Lost World Ingen was bought out by a company called Masrani Global. They are a large conglomerate with their hands in a lot of industries. They built the new park on Site A from the 1st movie supposedly with the cooperation of several world governments. The park gets something like 20,000 visitors per day. By the time the movie starts, I believe the park has been open for some time.

Corporate site for Masrani Global: http://www.masraniglobal.com/

All this information was gathered from various sources on the interwebz.
The film will follow a similar formula to the 1st movie, but is not a remake...it is a continuation.

No, it's the original island from the first movie.

I'm not betting on very good. They really need to find a way to change up the explore island, find dinosaur, run like hell theme. I would probably rather see an improved version of Lost World instead of this. Still, holding out hope.

The way they are hiding the hybrid dino in the trailer reminds me of how the Alien Queen in Aliens was kept secret till the end. This might just be less of a thriller and more of a horror film.

Or it could be a, "Damn, this thing really looks goofy. Don't let people see this until after their payment clears."

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Apparently it's been open long enough that it's become mundane and attendance is waning, which is why the marketing people had the idea of just cooking up dinosaurs from scratch to generate bigger and better attractions where they couldn't get natural DNA.

Call me old fashioned, but Jurassic [Name] must have these in it, at least as an easter egg.

Indeed, those Jeeps were one of the reasons why I liked those movies.
And those round things don't belong there :(

Isla Nublar was the sister island to Isla Sorna which was used in the Lost World. The dino's must have been transferred to this new island after the park was finished. Isla Sorna was overrun and that's a lot of dino's to tranq and transfer.

There is such a thing as going to far. What else can they show???

JP1 - People go to park/island, dino's break out, dino's kill people.
JP2 - People go to park/island, dino's break out, dino's kill people.
JP3 - People go to park/island, dino's break out, dino's kill people.
JP4 - See above.

It's what a Call Of Duty movie franchise would look like.

Apparently on the back of The Lost World VHS box and in another source it says that Jurassic Park was shutdown, disassembled and all living things were wiped out. From what I can tell the new park is a completely fresh start.
