They cloned Darth Maul, or just remade him with the Force.
Midichlorians are in the blood, Darth Vader lost much of his power in the Force when he became so mechanical. And I'm sure there was plenty of Vader DNA around to use. Why didn't Yoda or Obi-Won just make another Anakin? Let him have the memories of the original. Padme's already gone. He can see his failure of what would happen when you fall to the Dark side.
And all the crazy with clones? Luuke and cho boath? Why didn't Starkiller II go stark raving nuts?
These kinds of plot holes are the complete reason why Star Trek will always be better than that other sci-fi thing.

Starkiller 2 killed Starkiller 1..or so we are made to believe.
Force Unleashed 2, you played the original one.
To be honest..that game should have stopped at one..didn't need a follow up..it actually fit pretty well.

Either way, those extremely force sensitive clones weren't crazy.

Supposedly according to the lore its almost impossible to clone a sane Jedi. In the grand Admiral Thrawn Trilogy its explained that Sidious tried and failed this namely with a Jedi named Jorus C'both.
The books actually explained it quiet well and they are probably the some of the best ones out of the pile of SW books to hit the shelves over the years. Lucas did ok all these and the author Timothy Zahn is probably the very best writer Lucas had for Star Wars.
This clone idea did carry over to the Force Unleashed two game as was already mentioned here, so unfortunately its almost impossible to clone a sane Jedi.

This is a spoiler warning for those that had not finished the Force Unleashed 2..or if you even care.
I did this ending from the get-go on my first play through..this is when the game got really interesting, I feel like if this would have been the canon ending, it would have been better.
The game never explained midi-chlorian rate, George Lucas never liked that part of the EU.
And purely because I thought this fight was awesome..
