Why not just make some new custom parts for each ship class? Keep the three stock variants the same, but have additional pieces. Like what they first did for the Hephaestus and Maelstrom classes?

Cause theres little to no money it it for *******.
They need a sizable return on investment for the dev man hours to develop all that stuff

I mentioned this in the STO thread, but releasing something like a "nacelle pack" that I've seen suggested before in the C Store would help with that. Buy the pack, you can put the nacelles in it on any ship. Specific items like that that are theoretically easier to add to any ship model, rather than every single part freeform, and putting in the C Store would give them some return on that investment.
