 I am making my cash-in decision tonight tough. I am thinking a minimum conversion (max marks and BNCs) and the rest to dilithium.

Branflakes did say no to tomorrow and that next week is the target. They're not good at getting it out when they say they are, but they can generally be trusted to know when they won't.

Anyway, about conversion, consider:

1. Progression projects no longer take dilitihium, and have low mark costs. Two elite STFs a day will far more than cover progression. Even before its removal, dilithium on progression was low - it took more dilithium to get a 3-piece space set than it did to go from tier 0 all the way to 5.

This change is less a compromise and more a door-in-the-face switch - offering us a flat soda and stale sandwich and then making the sandwich look not so bad by saying we don't have to drink the soda if we don't want to. (They also reduced dilithium costs on items, but not by much - a dash of salt isn't going to fix that sandwitch).

2. The most expensive set pieces are 1,000 marks, 10 processors, 34,000 dilithium. 1,000 marks is ~15 elites per piece if you hit every optional, at which point you'll have a 5 processor surplus, but over 25,000 dilithium deficit. If you fail all the optionals, it only adds up to two extra runs tanks to rounding up, expanding your processor surplus but not making a dent in your dilithium deficit.

They eased up on the dilithium sink built into reputations, but it's still the limiting factor on actually getting your rewards, making the higher dilithium option more attractive.

We gonna get "word I can't say" if we don't convert.

So, IMO, convert.

I was saving up for S7, but seeing the conversion rates for omega marks im going to convert everything to dilithium instead.
