OK, this is very important to me, so I hope this gets some good feedback.

I know that what bonuses a person gets is largely just a matter of preference. In deciding my preference, I lack info. If the NDA is truly lifted, then I hope that getting some answers on game mechanics from anyone in the beta will help!

Regarding the personal shield: since you probably get a shield anyway, and since the members of your away team can heal, is this item really all that helpful (extrapolating from what you know about away teams)?

Regarding the constitution: does one more slot matter all that much?

Regarding the point defense: assuming this thing has a cooldown, will it really be all that useful? Do you suppose it would help cut down on photon torpedoes that hit your ship?

Regarding the personal rifle: Are there enough upgrades through normal play that this won't be of much use for long?

Regarding joined Trill: What are the exact advantages to this choice?




Again, this is all relative to game mechanics and not just what's cool.

I ordered from Amazon. Figure the Borg officer will last throughout my career, unlike the constitution class ship. A couple of those other perks seemed pretty good also.

I pre-ordered last night from UK D2D. ^_^

Only sucky thing is that they only offer the TOS uniforms and not the DS9/ NG uniforms..

I hope those get added as micro transactions later on.
