Preorder Question

I'm not sure if its been covered, but I have a question. If I get a preorder through Game stop or whereever, do they give you a key for open Beta and the head start?

I have not pre-ordered STO yet, but yes this is what should happen. I have pre-ordered from Gamestop before and they will send you your beta key via e-mail.

I preordered in person, but I am also nervous wether they will give the same bonuses out for preordering in person. I preordered before they said anything about bonuses.

You will get your stuff. Gamestop is pretty good about making sure you get everything you are supposed to.

As far as I understand you can download from direct2drive.co.uk the game a few days before release plus get a borg shield bonus. I am sure that hard copies will be sold on time but in my case I don't want to be left behind just because I am not in one of those countries which easily gets their orders quickly (i.e. I am not in US/CA or UK).

Ya, that's typically what happens. In my experience, Gamestop has a pretty good track-record about getting those keys out.

Not amazon. I pre-ordered I think it was Warhammer Online from them. It did not get mailed out for like a week after launch, and WaR only let you play for two days without typing in the key from your boxed copy. So yeah I regretted doing business with them, massively.

I'm kind of interested in the digital deluxe edition from atari...one of the bonuses lets u play as a joined trill so that might be kind of neat

Yeah if I wanted to play a Trill I would definitely be going for the Atari pre-order option.
