Wait... You're saying that wiping and reinstalling your computer every six months was considered normal for you? :o

back in 98se days i would be lucky if i wasnt wiping my hard drive 3 months. gamers we're brutal on hard and software. lol

Machines age; operating systems change. Eventually, they grow apart. Until one day, you ditch the machine for a younger model, and all that's left is to fight over who gets the peripherals. ;)

I run two machines. I've posted about my issues on getting STO to run on my older model. It's a 2014 HP Envy and still runs smooth but I always had issues with STO and when they did away with the XP support, it would not run at all. I got another machine just for gaming. However, you have to show the older model TLC also or it gets jealous.

I have another computer too that is probably 6-7 years only but it is still supported thinking it is windows 7. . Since I don't need a computer for work. Sto is literally the only thing I use it for now Land its hooked up to main tv. I guess it also does my Netflix and other internet TV stuff. It is a tower so lots of room to upgrade still.

You can run STO on Win7? Nice!! I know STO launched in 2010 but I can't remember what operating system was the hot thing then...maybe XP?

I just bought a new computer 2 years ago lol too . Giant touch screen. I got that to make Sto feel more like Star Trek . But sto dies not have a great touch screen input. Touch screen must be tapped twice to get buttons to work. Every think else is 1 touch though so it still fun

I wonder if any one knows how to alter the settings right in game to make the game more touch screen friendly?
