Yep! Me as well. I picked up the Mat'Ha Raptor on my KDF, the Aelahl Light Warbird on my Romulan, and the Pathfinder on my Fed. Honestly all great ships, and good fun, but probably the last money i'll spend on ships for a good while. There's just so much stuff coming out its hard to keep up with it all, and honestly I can only really maintain the grind on one or two of the characters at a time. I'm not going to even bother with the Jem'Hadar ship. I don't even have the original. I'm perfectly happy with my Mat'Ha.
My recommendation is: don't do PvP. Don't go for the shiny new ship. Get the one you like (Defiant, Sovereign, whatever), upgrade it with how much you can affort and have fun.
What if the ship I really like is a shiny ship...or well it isn't as shiny as it used to be but that isn't going to lower its price lol.

No one needs any new ship if they have a reasonably good T5 ship. Then again, even a bad T5 ship can be made to work if you know what you are doing.

Personally the T6 ships have a clear advantage over the T5-U's or even the T5 ships in a PvP type scenario. I don't even bother going into a PvP match anymore because of the upgraded weapons and ships. It's going to be a long time before I am remotely ready for that.
The problem is PvP is dead. LoR excesses followed by the even more ludicrous DR excesses of the dev have pretty much officially killed it.
Examples: One shot by SS3 by a cloaked ship. One shot SS3 by an escort flying so fast it's at 15km by the time you realize you're dead. Killed by your own alpha because the sci ship has FBP. Killed because you can't do anything because you are placated for 5 seconds.
Etc.
Etc.

For all the talk about doing right by PvP. Im surprised people care to still jump into a PvP match. Theyve been F2P for 3 years now and not once have they touched PvP besides some 'balance' fixes that were more like heavy handed nerfs that ignored the effect it would have on PvE.
I used to PvP back in the first year or so, even ran with Tactical here in the Fleet. But I quickly realized the Devs could careless about PvP.
