Hmm . maybe connect the Nacelles directly to the rear of the saucer ?
That , or a ventral and dorsal pylon coming from the hull to connect them

That latest iteration with the circular connected Nacelles looks definately better than the first Nacelles (I still love the Style of the Sovereign Nacelles). It has a real nice Vulcan vibe to it. Could be some joint Vulcan project with the Federation ship designers.

Unless you don't wanna ditch the Vulcan look, maybe try to draw inspiration from the Defiant and Sao Paulo with some elements of The White Star from Babylon 5?

Giving some thought to not having regular nacelles

Looks good,
If you want my suggestion, try Armitage styled nacelles but rotate them on the Y axis followed by an Armitage styled weapons pod and remove the lower section of the pylons/ring and I think that would follow the sleek style your looking for and look aggressive.

Looks like a romulan warbird... :p

I did try for a more blocky nacelle unit, but it wasn't working for me.

You can also try digging through files on SFC3 and BC for fab made ships for ideas. I know one I would suggest that was the size of the Sovereign but had a Daintless influence.

The main body of the ship looks real nice, love the shape. I would like to see the nacelles flow to a point at the back and the upper spar to follow the vertical line of the lower spar, kinda in one smooth line. It looks too vertical at the top by the torp launcher. (it is a torp launcher right???)

Here's what i come up with, yeah crap i know :P I've put a black line to show the angle and shape of the rear section. To me it gives it that forward swept look.

Thats some good advice Husker, I've incorporated it into the design somewhat.
