Are our toons saved somewhere?

Does anyone know if our toons are saved somewhere on our hard drives?

I saw a save option at the tailor but not sure what and where it was saved.

Check in here somewhere? C:\Users\Public\Games not entirely sure what to look for though..

I'm almost positive the "template" that is you can be saved locally. So if you save yourself now - after the wipe you can remake your character simply by loading in the template from before. This is my understanding of it anyway.

I doubt they would bother to save this kind of data server side.

Oh really? I would have worked harder on myself for beta if I had known I would be able to save the appearance. Oh well.

Be sure to remake your character first then, several options changed, which could potentially bug your character.

For example, Betazoids didn't have completely black irisses and I reported this as a bug. It is fixed now but my beta char still has the old eyes.

i think i remember seeing an in game message about character files being saved on the computer but i could be wrong, or there could be a template stored on some gargantuan file server in a dark corner of the cryptic server farm

Well im sure they are saved on a server somewhere but im unsure if the template will be saved so you can just reload it when the game goes live .Good Question =0

Hmm... I do hope so... I spent a hour yesterday making my char perfect so that when the game goes live I just need to load her up and start playing.

Would be such a shame to see all that trouble be for nothing.

I'll search my pc for files about her, somehow I doubt the templates are saved on the Cryptic servers.

Your character is saved as a screenshot in the screenshot folder, do not change the name or edit the image.
