(OOC: X-D So funny Space. "Science NPC", "that GM dude" xD Also, not sure if manually meant performed by an engineer AT the EPS relay or manually performed by Elysia at the Operations console... So I just tried what I thought was most likley ^_^'' I hope it's okay...)
Elysia frowns slightly as it becomes obvious that the Tempestas has already lost all shield power. When the acting captain asks for the reason that this occured, all she can report is "the computer reports a failure of the primary EPS relay Captain! I cannot determine exactly what happened, but it seems to have been an explosion!"...
The shields were vital to their survival, Elysia knew that. But if she was to reroute power, she had to carefully consider where to take the power she needed for them from. Sickbay would most likely need as much power as possible, especially when they were under this heavy fire. They'd need their weapons too and life support could not be tampered much with either...
She might be able to transfer power from general systems, such as the replicators, but that wouldn't be enough for long. And seeing as they didn't know the reason for why the EPS relay had failed in the first place, the power she DID transfer could end up being wasted...
The engineers of the ship would have to detect what the problem was with the EPS relay as soon as possible. She hurriedly carried through her decision, but at first it didn't seem to have worked much...
