Tracy was amazed at how little they had. Granted this wasn't supposed to be a long mission, but still.
She had her two boxes of clothes and equipment. Angel had two as well, though one was a "personal" tote. It held his archaic rifle, various other knives and guitar.
She was unpacking her uniforms into her closet, he was doing the same with his.
"So what do you think of the Admiral?" he asked her.
"She's a very capable commander. I see her staring at me though. Makes me wonder what she's thinking," she said, turning to her physical training clothes.
"Probably wondering how lucky she is with the two of us," he said, deciding he was done and going to the other locker, cracking it open.
Tracy chuckled.
"Lucky huh?"
"Yup. She has a captain on the bridge and a high ranking MACO with a Starfleet background watching over her ground forces. You see the rest of these guys? Green the majority of them," he began strumming a light tune.
"And I haven't been behind a science console in how long?" she asked him, placing a pair of socks.
"Oh come on babe, it's like riding a skimmer and you know it. Besides, the Odyssey is so new everyone is going to be on a tight learning curve," he said.
"I know I know. Just wish I could get a better read off of her is all. I'm not comfortable not knowing who I'm dealing with."
"You couldn't read me," he said, smiling from the couch.
She put her hand on her hip and turned to him, smirking.
"You're a man. There's the only read I ever needed," she poked.
"Ooohhh you're really looking to kick this thing off right aren't you?" he smiled back.

They stepped into the lounge and took it in and played they're usual game.
"Twelve windows, two exits, main power panels behind bar and along back wall," Tracy said, still tenderly holding his arm.
"Pillars for cover, low lighting, computer terminals at main doors and middle pillars," he said, bringing them to a table.
"You see the sensor strips?" she asked him as she sunk in her chair.
"Yup. Nicely concealed as accent strips along the walls. Impressive," he said, sitting himself and taking in the crew.
"See anyone we know?" she asked.
"Not yet. No MACOs either. Interesting."
"I'd figure y'all would have this place scoped out harder than Qo'nos," she smiled.
"Well I'm here," he smiled back. "Somethings missing in here isn't it?"
"Yeah, I can't quite tell what it is," she said, until she snapped her fingers.
"Music!" she said, though quietly.
"There we go!" he said and went up to the bar.
"Hey keep? What's with the silence in here?"
"Never thought about it. Figured someone would be mad about whatever I put on," the Bolian man said.
"Put something on, something with a beat though eh? Not some crazy Klink opera," Angel said, going back to the table.
As he sat back down, the room filled with a techno rhythm that made the off-duty officers look around and begin to socialize. The married humans clinked their glasses together.
