Unable to Authenticate

Everytime i try and log in it comes up with this message.

Ive recieved a confirmation email saying im in the open beta. I downloaded from the link from fileplanet and am on launcher version CL_2010_01_06_22_23. and allowed the traffic on my firewall.

Ive seen a couple of threads where people have the problem and fixed it, but dont reply with how.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi there. I have done some searching in regards to your issue and it seems as if one of two things could be the issue.

The first would be that while the server is down that message can be produced (as the authentication server is not able to receive or send information).

Secondly, have you allowed port traffic for both the launcher and the STO executable? Are you running more than one firewall, or perhaps an anti-virus program that monitors port traffic?
