You don't have to re-roll to get it. You can customize the ship to look like any of the three, or mix and match.
I got my next level ship in today's test, and it just give you a "cruiser" then you can select what you want it to look like, out of the couple of options available.

Oh they changed it? ok then thats much better then, used to be youd get assigned one randomly.

You get a klassik konnie if you preordered (like the NCC-1701). But if you didn't you can get a 25th century refit at the lieutenant rank. Its weird that you get a connie but not an excelsior though :|
