Childhood:
Little is known about One of Eight's early life. Though she was assimilated at age 16, most of her memories prior to assimilation are either missing or unreliable. She was a resident of a colony attacked by the borg in the year 2387. Records of her birth and the exact colony she was born on were likely destroyed when the borg assimilated the colony and Romulus was destroyed.

Academy:
One of Eight was an average student at Starfleet Academy. She did not stand out in any way. No extracurricular activities occupied her free time aside from a transwarp research project now classified by Starfleet Command. Her grades suffered in her Junior year at the academy due to a relationship with a fellow cadet. The relationship ended a year later shortly before graduation.

Career:
Due to her engineering skills, One of Eight was commissioned as a full Lieutenant following her graduation from Starfleet Academy. Her first assignment was to Starfleet Corps of Engineers. She would spend the next ten years working on various transwarp engine designs and integrating Borg salvage with Federation standard equipment. Shortly after attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander she resigned her commission.

Romulan Republic Fleet Records:
Three years after leaving Starfleet One of Eight was captured by Tal Shiar and Elachi forces on a small colony in Romulan space. She had been working as a drydock engineer on the colony. Rescued from a research facility by Romulan Republic Fleet officers One of Eight was offered a position aboard a Romulan Warbird. She was commissioned as a Centurion following review by the Republic Fleet.

Over the next four years One of Eight climbed the ranks of the R.R.F. and is currently a Subcommander.
