Biography
Slanesh was a soldier in the Klingon/ Gorn war. He was stationed on a Gorn Warship during the battle of Gila VI. When Klingon warriors invaded the ship, Slanesh was one of the Gorn soldiers who was tasked with fighting them off. It was during this battle Slanesh earned himself the name SuD Hegh, or 'The Green Death'. He fought them with his bare hands, only using a weapon when he took the Bat'Leth from a dying warrior's hands. Slanesh led the remaining Gorn warriors on the ship to repel the boarding parties, but the Gorn were forced to retreat from the Battle. He contested the decision, insisting they fought on despite the odds, but his pleas were ignored.
Slanesh was on the front lines for much of the war, seeing more defeats than victories. He led raiding parties in the successful capture of 12 Klingon ships, including a Negh'Var warship. The nickname he earned in the Gila VI conflict was spreading rapidly, aided by his battlefield prowess. He was awarded a ship command prior to the battles for Gamma Orionis. His ship was formidable and amassed more klingon casualties than any other in the battles it fought in. But others did not go well, Slanesh heard of outnumbered klingon fleets tearing through the Gorn armada. He was both impressed and appalled. Impressed with the ability of the Klingons, and appalled at the lack of ability of his own people. At first he blamed the Nausicaans, but it soon became clear it couldn't just be them.
Slanesh soon became opposed to King Slathis, refusing his order to fall back to the Gorn homeworld. He requested to lead the attack on Ogat against the klingons, but was instead posted defensively at the homeworld. When the reports of the loss on Ogat came, he was not surprised. He knew he should have led the fleet.
When the Klingons openly declared war on the Gorn in 2399, he was finally returned to the battlefield. He fought fiercely to protect some of the Hegemony's key worlds, but the Gorn and Nausicaan forces were being pushed back considerably. News that the Gorn government had been infiltrated by shape shifting Aliens had weakened morale among the soldiers, but had spurred him on. He had always believed Gorn were stronger than Slathis had shown.
In 2404, when the Gorn surrendered to the Klingons, SuD Hegh was sought out by the high council and offered a commission in the KDF. He was one of few Gorn who were happy to see the corrupt Undine officials executed, finally under command of a government who was willing to fight for its people and not just for itself. He accepted the commission and was assigned to the IKS Ye'Mogh, a bird of prey.
Capture
The Ye'Mogh was destroyed in battle against a Federation fleet in the Zibal system, but not before its crew were captured by the U.S.S. Legion. The Legion transferred the prisoners to the brigs in Starbase Valhalla. Slanesh was transferred to the U.S.S. Arlington and set under heavy guard after it became clear he was conspiring with his crew to escape.
