The USS Scout, NCC-93492-B is a Fleet Patrol Escort captained by the human Federation officer Jack Rodgers, also known as "Forge". It is the third vessel to bear the name "Scout".

Not a true refit of the standard Patrol Escort, the Scout-B packs more firepower, stronger structural integrity and shields. It is superior in every way to the A version.

In 2413 the crew aboard the vessel began wearing patches on their uniforms. While not in Starfleet regulation since the early 22nd century, the tradition has come back with a vengeance, especially among MACO units/vessels.

The patch was designed by Commander Stromgold of the 12th Fleet and presented to Colonel Forge on 30 August 2413.

The mascot of the Scout-B is the cougar, opposed to the horse of the Scout-A, in that the Scout Bravo has more firepower and maneuverability than it's predecessor.
