Born in the aftermath of the Dominion War, Jason grew up around Starfleet. Raised on the Galaxy Class USS Independence Jason had a knack for engineering, having the ships engineers comming regularly to repair his quarters replicator from being taken apart. With tensions in the quadrant still high Jason enrolled into Starfleet. Graduating and becomming Ensign, Jason was Operations officer on the USS London, before taking a number of different assignments over the next 2 years. When war with the Klingon Empire broken out, Archer was serving on Starbase 7, when it came underfire. The Stations assigned vessal, the Defiant Class USS Avenger was put into action to help defend the starbase while being evacuated. Due to anumber of senior officers put in charge on the evac, Archer now a full Fledged Lieutenant was given command. While the station was lossed, Archer's bravery and excellent command skills along with the effort of the entire crew managed to evacuate the station before it's destruction when Archer gave the order to put the Avenger between the Klingon ships and the station . While the Station's CO and a number of others did not survive over 1800 of the 2010 souls on board managed to escape.

Due to his bravery and valor Archer was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and was assigned as Chief Engineer on the USS Valley Forge, their Archer became a upstanding officer and was promoted to Commander after a successfull rescue of a number of Federation civilians that were captured by Orion forces.

in 2409 during the Borg incursion of the Vega colony, Commander Archer was in command of the Centaur Class USS Crimson. After assisting the fleet with the borg threat the Crimson was severaly damaged, it was put into decomission and Archer was promoted to Captain. With his new found rank he was given command of the newest refit Galaxy Class, nicked named the X refit, USS Pegasus. With an array of impressive systems, Archer along with the Crimson crew and the Pegasus was ordered to to the klingon front lines to help drive back the invading forces.

With command in his blood and a excellent engineering abilities Archer is a veteran Starfleet officer. With orders to join Starfleets 12th Fleet he is eager and waiting for the new challenges ahead.
