All records of Frederick Dinkelsens childhood were lost in the Borg attack on the New Providence colony on Jouret IV 2366. He and his two years older brother Henry were the only survivors of the attack, his date of birth was estimated to 2364, his parents could not be determined. Both infants were adopted by the Vulcan starfleet officer D'Kel, who was member of the rescue operation at Jouret IV. As he and his wife could not have children of their own it was a logical thing to do for them.

Young Frederick and his brother were raised partly on vulcan partly on different starfleet vessels. Vulcan schools are very demanding for human children and constant pressure formed a very strong bond between him and his brother Henry. Frederick graduated from the Vulcan school system with a for humans very good overall evaluation. In his teenager years Frederick discovered his love for engeneering where he found the relaxation in fixing things after a hard days schoolwork.

In the age of 18 Frederick applied to and was recieved at Starfleet Academy. While being extremly thankful to their Vulcan parents for caring for them and offering them intact family life both Dinkelsen brothers wanted to express their affiliation to the human race by choosing a last name. They settled for the name they were called by the Vulcan children: D'Kel's son - Dinkelsen. After graduation 2386 Frederick was assigned to the U.S.S. Starfire under Captain Holden. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2388. He was commended by his superior officers 2 times on away missions involving alien technology which he could decipher and safely shut down in one case as well as repair in a second case.

The U.S.S. Starfire was lost in 2389, while on an exploration mission in the Khazan cluster. Frederick Dinkelsen was officially declared missing in action. It was later discovered that the ship encountered a Borg cube and was assimilated. From what could be recostructed later Frederick Dinkelsen was assimilated to the Collective and used as command node 1 of 15 in a Borg cube. He recieved a neural interface implant that could not be completly removed without causing irreparable brain damage. The nature of the implant remains unknown although it was agreed upon to be inactive after removing the ocular . 1 of 15 was involved in the assimilation of 2 species, overlooked 3 major fleet fights and worked very closely with a Borg Queen.

In 2408 a borg cube was destroyed by Starfleet and a few drones survived the destruction. Frederick Dinkelsen proved to be one of them. He survived the de-assimilation process and was reintroduced to human society, a process that took almost a year to complete. Lt. Dinkelsen was then assigned to the U.S.S. Symphony acting as a Borg expert to Captain Qat'Anmek during the Vega incident. He was assigned a MACO team to beameover to the U.S.S. Archimedes and reclaim it from the Borg. He even succeeded in getting the ship operational and saving the Symphony from a Borg probe.

Frederick Dinkelsen was promoted to Captain after the Vega crisis and put in charge of the U.S.S. Archimedes, the ship he helped to save.

[Biography - Supplemental]

You may read a graphical representation of parts of the biography by following the Link: "Season 1" in my sig. See Episode 1-5 there.

There are no stardates in the biography but the present day date format. I actively chose not to translate to stardates in order to enhance readability for present day humans.
