In between taking tricorder readings, she answered Riley's question. "She darted off to do her own thing... I think its a cultural thing."

Her tricorder wasn't giving her much, but being honest, she'd not paid very much attention in Away Team Medicine fundamentals. Her dad would so tease her about it later.

Merial was fighting hard to contain herself, stray thoughts were leaking in again from the people around her.

She focussed, keeping her mind as clear as possible, and managed to reach her mental defences. They sprang up like a veritable fortress, isolating her inside her own thoughts once more.

A tiny portion of her mind holding the fortress in place, Merial moved forwards and tried to assist Adri.

Riley glanced over at Serene “anything yet?” he asked, noticing a faint look of concern on her face. Not being a medic, and only barely passing his basic medical training, he felt useless.

Serene flipped the tricorder off, it wasn't being terribly useful. "Well... there's nothing physically wrong with her... at least... nothing I can tell you about." She gently shook Adri. "Come on Adri, what's wrong? I refuse to believe I've PT'd you out already."

Adri's eye's flickered and she looked muzzily up at the group: "Wha...? Where am...?" She realised everyone was looking at her and yelped trying to cover her face. Flushing bright red she stammard "I...I...I'm F.....f...fine h...honest... j....just ....t....t....t....took a b....b...bit o....of a t....turn".

“can you stand?” Riley asked, offering a hand. He was about to ask Serene to fetch one of the water bottles when he heard people running behind him. Looking around he saw two people, one an academy medic and the other one of the PT tutors, running towards them.

Serene groaned as she saw the PT tutor... oh was she ever going to get yelled at for this. She wouldn't have cared, had she actually been working her group hard. To head off the inevitable speech she began to explain the situation as quickly as possible, which thankfully seemed to work.

The medic was looking over Adri now, while Serene and Riley both hauled her back to her feet.

Adri stood up carefully, whispering to the medical team trying to explain what had happened... her insistence that she was fine was somewhat given the lie by the way she swayed slightly as she stood in front of them but the last thing she wanted right now was more people staring at her for any length of time...

She caught sight of Serene and flushed red again as she wondered what Serene must think of her... collapsing after so little work... she really was hopeless wasn't she?

After giving his view to the tutor about what happened, Riley headed off to check on Adri, leaving Serene to finish explaining what happened. an intresting start to the day he thought to himself as he walked back to where the medic was still talking with Adri. as he approched, the medic finished talking to her and headed towards te tutor. "Feeling better now, Adri?" he asked

Adri nodded frantically, "F...fine! J...just F...Fine!, R...ready t...to go!" inwardly she wasn't so sure, she still felt a little sick and woozy from the weird sensations she was getting from Kuhr... but she couldn't give up now, that would just confirm what everyone must already suspect about her... how she should never have made it into starfleet...
