Starbase 24, 16th of January 2408, Entry VIII: Recap

And after a full month of repairing, the ship is operational and ready to explore the universe again! Though you wouldn't really know the time, since my previous entries weren't timed. Anyway, I'll use dates on these logs from now on to make it more 'official'.

Anyway, just as a quick recap from the time here in Starbase 24. The ship we picked up was in fact a Federation escort. They happened to have enough supplies to fix the warp drives and head to the nearest spacestation, which took bloody forever with an amazing warp speed of 2.5, we wouldn't dare to blow up the ship if we turned up the powers.

Once we reached Starbase 24, the rest of the month was spent consulting various scientists regarding my discovery. Unfotunately, most of the data was stolen by the Klingons, but I held a copy of the critical parts in my personal computer, having it's own power supply and memory. Still to this day no progress has been made, but at least I can use my ship again! I think we're going to throw a little party to celebrate our survival, but nothing very fancy. Lets just hope we don't get attacked again...

Deep Space Nine, 23rd of January 2408, 16:46, Stardate 89667.67, Entry IX: Negotiations

Alright, the parties have been celebrated, ship is back online and ready to explore the space again! But to your surprise, we didn't go explore the space yet. We had to go to Deep Space Nine to resolve a dispute between Cardassians and the True Way about one strange piece of technology. Strange, I though the True Way was a terrorist group, it wasn't like them to negotiate about this kind of stuff, they wouldn't even tell that they found such a piece of technology.

Anyway, the Starfleet suspects it might be a weapon, so I had to go to Deep Space Nine to study it, since I was the only officer available with some form of knowledge about weaponry.

When I first docked into DS9 and went to the negotiation room, there was a full scale war going on. Both the True Way and the Cardassian representative were shouting out loud, exchanging insults between each other. If I hadn't broken it up they probably would have been shooting each other by now. And after a small recap of what has happened, it turned out the the Cardassians had found a strange piece of technology on archeology excavations on Caradssia Prime, True Way claiming it to be theirs. Since neither side could prove it was theirs, they had to call the Dominion to help them, who in return contacted Starfleet for assistance.

Anyway, the device is a symmetrical sphere made of unknown metal, I delivered it onto my ship for further investigation, my science team looking on it right now. If necessary, I'll help with the studies.

U.S.S. Kidralken II, 25th of January 2408, 15:10, Stardate 85669.93, Entry X: The 2800

Right... The events on DS9 got a bit more weird. We finished the studies on the device, and it turned out to be a harmless fertilizing device. As I expected, both parties immediately lost interest and left DS9 as soon as they could. And that's pretty much the only normal thing that happened today. Soon after the True Way and the Cardassians left, 2800 Jem'Hadar ships came out from the wormhole, invading DS9. I was still in the conference room when that happened, and all beaming was blocked. This resulted in fighting a horde of Jem'Hadar soldiers, battling our way to the docking wing and evacuating as many people as we could. Good thing my away team was there to back me up...

Anyway, this log entry is going to be on the short side, as I'm about to attend a meeting on Bajor to regroup, think of what happened, why it happened and plan our next move. Just blast them to dust I say...

Gordon signing off,

U.S.S. Kidralken II, 31st of January 2408, 12:57, Stardate 85083.44, Entry XI:
Founders

And after nearly a week of stupid running around in space like some errand boy, the Jem'Hadar crisis is finally over. After you initial meeting on Bajor(which consisted mostly of running around Hathon helping people), I nearly killed myself when I went up against a fully fledged Jem'Hadar ship on a shuttle while trying to make it to the wormhole leading to the Delta Quadrant to find this stupid Ferengi who we heard has information on the location of the Dominion fleet. That turned out well when she usurped a ton of Idran swarmers where I nearly died, again. And finally, after following the warp trail of that Ferengi ship, we finally got in contact with the Dominion. After a little negotiation, they finally agreed to help us, but in one condition. We were to release a Founder held in some facility I have never even heard of. Anyway, of course the Jem'Hadar had to invade that Facility, forcing me to go and fix the situation and contain an outbreak of the Federation's most dangerous criminals, where I nearly died, once again.

After all of that mess over, our master plan to get the Founder to make the rogue Jem'Hadar to surrender went wrong, and of course, I was the one dressing up on an EV-Suit, walk on the surface of DS9 and pretty much fight the army of Jem'Hadar by myself. The Enterprise-F did come at one point to help me, but that wasn't much of use when most of the ships were already gone.

Now finally, the Jem'Hadar are defeated, the Dominion left DS9 and went back to the quadrant and everyone is happy, end of story. Sometimes I just feel that the Feeration gets some twisted pleasure on sending exploration designed vessels on suicide missions against 2800 ships... Anyway, that's the end of this log, it's been very frustrating and I need to calm down.

Gordon signing off.

Spoiler: show
A new entry after such a long break, yay!

Drozana Station, 14th of March 2408, 16:45, Stardate 85201.36, Entry XII:
Devidians

I can never remember to keep up a log on a regular basis, I'm just too scatter brained for that. Even this log series hasn't been touched in months. Guess I should just write when something interesting happens or I have nothing else to do, so these logs might come few and far between.

Anyway, now is one of those times when something eventful happened and got bored enough to write this entry. As you can see, I am writing this aboard the Drozana Station. Yeah, that 200 year old station that no on has bothered to maintain anymore, it has basically fallen into a pile of rust. And why am I here? Because the Kidralken suddenly lost all of it's dilithium chambers when some ensign screwed up with the release controls. Not that I am mad or anything, just merely frustrated about being stuck here.

But that really isn't the important thing, what was interseting was the odd ghostly figures flying everywhere ever once in a while. The lighting also changes blue whenever they appear. I asked the bartender about it, and he was equally clueless as I was. He told that they had been here as long as he could remember, and they didn't seem to do any harm yet. Even though I, questioned if the Ferengi was actually telling the truth, I took some radiation samples of the station and sent it to Deep Space K7 via shuttle, they said results should come in about 24 hours. Personally, I suspect they could be devidians, hence the log name.

In the meanwhile, my ship stays docked to Drozana without power of any kind, and I'm just sitting here drinking nerve tonics. And to be honest, it isn't really that bad, despite the occasional barfights between drunk Klingons. I even met an interesting alien. She was quite short compared to me, and had such a complicated name I can't even spell it correctly, so we agreed to call her just Ylvy, for the first four initials of her name. We talked, exchanged information and told about our lives. Turns out Ylvy is a captain of her own ship, stopping by at Drozana for a resupply and a break, I even visited her bridge.

She seemed very nice and sweet overall, with quite a lot of experience under her belt. I'd be interested on trying to do some scientific surveys with her too once the dilithium chambers come here, we came along very well. But anyway, I have duties to make now, and I'll probably report some more about the possible devidian situation tomorrow.

Gordon signing off.
