The other choice(s): Saturday the [22nd] and Saturday the [8th].
If the 8th is chosen, scheduling will close on Monday, February 3, to allow enough notice before the event.

Scheduling the Meet:
The date for the meet is chosen based on allowing for the most attendance by members during the EC give-away in the first half hour. Scheduling of the event is usually open in the forum for about a week before a date is chosen, but that time may be shorter in order to allow at least five days notice before the event date. The date chosen depends ultimately on who wants to participate and who will actually show up. Be sure of your commitment when requesting a date change because not showing up on a date that has been changed to accommodate you may mean your choice will get less weight in future event scheduling. Extra weight in scheduling will be given to the availability of those who are administering activities throughout the meet.
What is the Monthly Fleet Meet?
The Monthly Fleet Meet is a fleet event that takes place on our 12th Discord server every month on a Saturday, the exact date determined by polling in a scheduling thread (such as this one). The meet lasts about seven hours with an hour meal break midway. Meet activities include:
Drawing for 20 Million Energy Credits
EC from the Fleet bank awarded by dice roll competition among those Fleet members present.
Subsequent activities may include: group battle zone runs, teaming up to cruise TFO queues and Story-Line Missions, build advice, and just hanging out together on Discord. Members and their friends are welcome to join in at any time during the course of the event; you do not have to be there for the beginning or stay to the end. We are a casual fleet, and participation in any portion of the event is optional.
