It’s time to celebrate our anniversary, Captains. As the threat of the Borg King looms, your Captain will battle through stories past and present to earn a brand new Khitomer Alliance ship!

Event Progress

Participating in this event grants daily progress towards the Grand Prize: The Alliance Rex Pilot Escort. The Grand Prize requires 40 daily progress, and Captains can earn daily progress once per account per day by playing either the new episode or Task Force Operation released this season, or any of the other episodes or Task Force Operations in the event. Completing the episode awards two points, while completing a TFO or the Particle Stabilization awards one point. They are as follows:

    “Taken by Surprise” (episode)
    “Scorpion’s Abyss” (new episode)
    “Guillotine” (space TFO)
    “Battle of Wolf 359” (new space TFO)
    “Omega Particle Stabilization” (minigame)

Once Captains have obtained 40 daily progress on their account, they can claim the Alliance Rex Pilot Escort After that, the event will still be playable, granting a scaling Dilithium reward that begins at 8,000 Dilithium Ore and scales by 1,000 Dilithium Ore for every day you participate in the event, up to a cap of 50,000 Dilithium Ore per day.

Captains will also have the option to purchase their remaining progress in the event with Zen. The price for this buyout will be pro-rated, based on the amount of progress a Captain has completed.

Alliance Rex Pilot Escort
The Alliance Rex Pilot Escort, much like the great Dukan’Rex himself, is a bridge between quadrants. It draws primarily from the Jem’Hadar Fighter and the Defiant, and is employed similarly – groups of three, made of a lead ship and two wingmates. Fully capable of reconnaissance, patrol, screening for capital ships and strike missions of their own, they are versatile, nimble, and deadly. The Rex often commands entire squadrons of escorts in battle, coordinating them and forming the tip of the spear with its superior maneuverability and ability to strip enemy defenses before a devastating strafing run. Like all the ships of the Alliance, it stands in testament to what can be achieved if even the most different of species learn to set aside those differences and stand together. Then even the most impossible victories come within reach, and as all Jem’Hadar know, victory is life.

The Khitomer Alliance has produced fruitful collaborations between the engineers of some of the most powerful forces in all four quadrants. And while the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Romulan Republic have all contributed to this cause, the contributions of the Dominion have been less obvious. Until now.

Alliance Rex Pilot Escort

Console - Universal - Elite Alliance Squadron
Activate an Alliance fleet beacon to call in a squadron of reinforcements that fly and fight alongside you, armed with Quad Cannons, a mix of Arrays and Turrets, and a pair of Quantum Torpedo launchers each. If your ship has access to Jem'Hadar Wingmate commands, the called vessels respond to the wing commands. The ships have the following abilities:

Experimental Weapon - Inertial Polaron Shunt
The Inertial Polaron Shunt gathers excess energy from the Impulse Engines and uses it to accelerate Polarons to extreme velocities, directing them toward enemy ships. This deals considerable Polaron damage, but can happen a great deal more often if the ship is at higher speed.These specialized emitters are capable of forming localized distortions in subspace which can then be propelled toward a nearby foe, distorting their hull and shields and slowing their ship's ability to maneuver in normal space. These distortions are extremely unstable though, and cannot travel a long distance without dissipating, giving the weapon a short maximum range and an impact that is decreased with distance between its user and its intended target.

Starship Trait - Inertial Supremacy
Space Trait. During Beams: Fire at Will, Cannon: Scatter Volley, or Torpedo Spread, weapons fire applies a debuff to Foes' Damage Resistance Rating. The strength of the debuff depends on the current speed of your vessel.

I was watching casualSAB and he said that Kael mentioned that the new TFO could take up to 30 minutes to complete. Looks like I’m playing it once then finding other means to collect progress. But man does that ship look good. Can’t wait for the teasers for the new bundle.

I think I'm o.k. with a long challenge al. la. Infected and the Cure when they first came out. Fully agree it won't be my daily though.

It takes way less than 20 minutes to complete. I'd say about 7 or 8 minutes (including the wait time at the beginning).

Its not that bad. I could imagine a group of new players who don't really know what they're doing taking 30m to struggle through it, but even with randoms I have a hard time imagining it taking more that 12-15 minutes.

Once the elite version drops though, it could be a pig of a mission for sure

Now they need to come up with a new borg cube invasion and expand sol system or vulcan or andoria into a battle zone like congra but in areas like jupiter area. Lets us actually battle it to the last man standing. Could be added to red Alert events.

It's an interesting ship, i'll say that much. Having Jem'hadar ships, it's rather familiar to use and pilot.
