After further testing, the console is still very good. It is still worth a slot on torp boats, especially on Pilot torp boats which use torpedoes that have shorter cooldowns.
They actually did a sensible adjustment with this one.

Seems there is a nerf incoming soon for the Eagle console. I just hope it's just an adjustment and it isn't rendered completely useless. |

Well the Eagle console "nerf" was in the patch notes this morning. Will be interesting to see how much they've knocked it down. |

I tested it a few minutes ago. It has definitely been reduced, but it is still very good. I will do some more testing when I get online later. Right now, I am just glad to see that they didn't nerf it into oblivion. |

It would seem that they set some yet unknown floor for minimum shared cooldown reduction for torps. Upon further testing, the addition (or subtraction) of the Ferrofluid Hydraulic Assembly console ( https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Console_-_U ... embly/Info) seems to make no difference now, at least on Pilot ships. I will keep digging to see if I can determine where that floor is, and whether any other traits, consoles, and duty officers affect it. |
