As Star Trek Online completes its thirteenth year representing the Star Trek universe, we are pleased to kick off the festivities for our Anniversary Celebration starting on PC on January 24th, 2022 and continuing until February 23th, 2022. (Console dates will be announced at a later date.)

All of the usual activities will contribute toward your Daily Progress in the Event, eventually earning your way toward the Grand Prize – a Tier 6 Ship!

Keep reading to reveal what activities and prizes await those who join us to celebrate the 12th Anniversary.

The Grand Prize for this event will be a brand new Tier 6 ship – revealed tonight at 4:30 PT on a new Ten Forward Weekly! You can watch on our Twitch Channel or our Facebook Page.

Part of the anniversary update will be several brand new activities that will be a part of this event. Look for more information about them, soon.

Activities:
Spoiler: show
    [NEW]Episode: "Fujiwhara Effect" (2 pts.)
Episode: "Eye of the Storm" (2 pts.)
    [NEW]TFO: "Bird Cage" (2 pts.)
    TFO: "Iupiter Irratus" (2 pts.)
    [NEW]Patrol: "Khonshu Khaibit" (1 pt.)
[NEW]Patrol: "Jupiter Station Showdown" (1 pt.)
    Omega Particle Stabilization (1 pt.)

Remember that earning additional Daily Progress also grants you scaling Dilithium Ore bonus rewards, after you have claimed the Grand Prize!

Players unable to find the time to complete the Event, or interested in rushing to complete their progress, will have the opportunity to purchase the remainder of their Daily Progress using Zen at any time. The base price for this buyout will be discounted based on the amount of Daily Progress you have already accrued.

Omega Molecule Stabilization Game
Q is up to his annual shenanigans. He will once again be rewarding captains for stabilizing Omega Particles found in various social zones in Star Trek Online. Talk to Q to get the mission “Omega Stabilization (Daily)” and you will be given three zones to visit where you must stabilize an Omega Particle by playing a minigame. The chosen zones will change periodically, inviting players to explore the vast expanses of space in order to complete this challenge.

The minigame itself is simple - Omega molecules will fall in from the left in one of four channels. Captains will move the capture device into the correct channel as the molecule hits the right-hand line. The more molecules you capture, the more Omega molecules you’ll safely dissipate, and the more points you will score.

Q doesn’t care how many points you score, just that you complete the minigame in order to receive credit for his Daily Mission. Doing so will grant you Daily Progress if you have not already earned it for the day, as well as the other standard rewards associated with this Daily Mission.

The score received from the minigame does influence your rewards, however! The more points you score, the better chance you have at scoring better quality Omega particle remnants which can be used with the R&D system to craft special Omega Particle Tech Upgrades.

Omega Traces come in the three different colors of the Omega nodes themselves. Using the R&D system you can combine 1 of each Trace into an Omega Sliver. You can them combine three Omega Slivers into an Omega Shard, and three Omega Shards into an Omega Fragment. Three Omega Fragments can then be combined into an Omega Tech Upgrade which costs no dilithium to apply, and supplies a massive dose of Technology and Research Points to whatever item it is applied to. Alternately, two Omega Fragments can be combined with varying amounts of Refined Dilithium to produce [Mark] and [Rarity] variations of the Omega Upgrade. These variants focus entirely on improving item Mark or Rarity, respectively, making them ideal for players seeking specific avenues of upgrading their equipment.

Completing the minigame will always score you a single Omega Trace at the very least. The better you score, the greater your chance to win Omega Slivers, Shards, or even Fragments. Beginning with this year’s update, all Omega materials will be changed to Bind-to-Account-on-Pickup, rather than being tradeable with other players. However, refinement techniques have improved since the previous event, so rewards from the minigame will be a bit better, especially for those who score fewer points.

New Party Popper!
It wouldn’t be the anniversary without a brand new Party Popper to earn. The 13th Anniversary version of our annual toy-device takes the grand, cosmic power of V'ger and shrinks it down to an itty bitty party horn.

We’ll see you at the party!

Star Trek Online’s 13th Anniversary celebration will soon be upon us! This year’s Grand Prize for participating in the Event will be a truly alien starship – the Compiler Science Dreadnought [T6]!

This fantastic starship is visually inspired by a mix between the visuals of the V’Ger Entity as seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture (as well as concept art from the same), along with a portion of custom designs created in Star Trek Online for fleshing out the technology and enemies associated with “The Other” as seen in the current story arc.

Earning the ship will require completing the daily activities available as part of the Anniversary Event and gathering enough Daily Progress to fulfill the Event’s overall quota. Players may participate in any of the available Summer activities to earn their Daily Progress once per day, per account.

Once you have earned sufficient Daily Progress, you may claim this Starship for your entire account. Just open the Event Reclaim Store to claim a Compiler Science Dreadnought (T6) for each captain on your account.

Compiler Science Dreadnought (T6)
Originally fabricated to serve as remote processors for the entity known as "The Other," these incomparable vessels have been reconstructed by the V'Ger Entity as means to aid in the safekeeping of our known galaxy. These inscrutable entities went to great lengths to provide starships that simple corporeal lifeforms can operate in a similar manner to other modern starships, but with a few additional strange pieces of technology built into their subsystems. It is unknown if we have unlocked their full potential, or if there is more to learn from their entirely alien design.

This ship comes with a Lt Commander Science / Temporal Operative Specialist Bridge Officer Seat and a Lieutenant Universal / Temporal Operative Specialist Bridge Officer Seat.

Console – Universal – Volatile Digitization Matrix
Digital transformation is not too dissimilar from transporter technology, but on a scale of refinement beyond modern imaginings. This process is capable of reading and digitally storing absolutely anything imaginable, including the subconscious thought processes of intelligent biological and non-biological lifeforms, then recreating them in perfect detail. This particular adaptation of the technology serves as a weapon in starship combat, by completely digitizing your starship and crew into volatile energy which may be used to harm enemies, before rebuilding all transformed matter exactly as it previously was.

As a gift from V'ger and Ilia, this technology is capable of being installed in all modern starships.

This console also provides a passive boost to Power Transfer Rate, Starship Exotic Particle Generators Skill and Maximum Shield Capacity.

This console may be equipped in any console slot, on any starship. You may only have one of these consoles equipped at a time.

Description:
Toggle, Lasts up to 20 sec or until Deactivated

Transform Self into a Digitizer Probe
Weapons and Abilities Disabled
+400% Flight Speed and Turn Rate
Plasma Damage to Foes within 5km each sec
When Transformation ends, additional Massive Plasma Damage to Foes within 5km
After 5 sec, create 4x Digitizer Probes which travel outward dealing Plasma Damage to Foes within 5km each sec
Digitizer Probes detonate after 12 sec dealing additional Massive Plasma Damage to Foes within 5km
2 min recharge

Starship Trait – Digital Compilation
Whenever an enemy of Frigate rank or higher is defeated after receiving Exotic Damage from you, they will be transformed into a Digitizer Probe which will chase nearby enemies, dealing Plasma Damage to any that they are near.

You may have up to 5 Digitizer Probes active at a time from this Trait. Enemies digitized by this Trait will not Warp Core Breach.

Description:
Defeated Foes that have taken Exotic Damage from you within the past 15 seconds are transformed into Digitizer Probes that chase Foes for 30 sec and deal Plasma Damage per sec to Foes within 2.5km each sec

Hangar Pets – Digital Construct Drones
These automated drones are large enough to be considered “Frigates” by many modern starship standards, and thus only support at maximum of two being deployed, per wing.

Digital Construct Drone Hangar Pets are unlocked by owning the Compiler Science Dreadnought and may be equipped on it as well as any ship with 2 Hangar Bays.

In order to avoid any confusion, it should be noted that the World Razer is not the free event ship. It is a lockbox ship.

To avoid any further confusion, it should be noted that Stromgold is right this time.
