my normal download speed is about 500k - 750k, i get 1mb if i'm lucky at like 3am when the bandwidth is free because theres nobody on. I just started downloading the STO client and i am getting TWELVE mb/s???? any ideas why my d/l speed has suddenly shot up?

from my experience the STO downloader is always faster than seems possible

perhaps they are beaming it straight onto your Hard drive?

Maybe your ISP decided to upgrade the speeds? Here they're doubling the speeds as well, but I could only dream of getting speeds like you have.

In 10 years I'll probably laugh my ass off about this post like I laugh now at how I loved getting 25kb/s on my 56k modem 10 years ago rofl.
If I had 10kb/s back then it was a lot already.
