Because I'm bored and because cryptic have been at designing fed ships lately. Design notes U.S.S Boxer is a Yar Class Heavy Destroyer. It comes with a shuttle bay and an enhanced drive system and is to represent the latest offensive technology from the design team that brought you classics such as the USS Steamrunner, USS Prometheus and USS Defiant. Notes. Yes, the Nacelles need work. I've got about 4-5 whole days, i'll be posting live updates, let's see what I can do. I will be taking suggestions but bear in mind that I tend to prefer flowing lines, and trek ships that depart most from the typical body plan (UFO+Rockets+Satellite Dish connected by pylons) Also, I've got P. thick skin, so flame away. |

One thing I would suggest , is throw a couple more straight edges in , maybe on the inside line of the nacelles Also , have you considered the opposite approach to the steamrunner ? ( the pod with the sensor held above the nacelles instead of below ? ) |

That last one is looking good , I think if you linked the pylon to the nacelle more and carried it over the top to the other side like a rollbar , It'd work quite well Though looking at it , I think the one I thinking of needs a thicker rollbar .. lol |

You could try something that's never been done.. Edit: not saying yours is a copy of anything, I.just meant something that hasn't been done. Lol |

This is what I'm thinking now... Obviously, I need to figure out a way of connecting the ring/pylons with the main hull, note, still rough shapes/still playing with proportions etc, |
