There are other MMOs that are far worse. Lineage 2, Aion, Tera, Age of Conan and a few others that I used to play before and after F2P.

Aion isn't that bad anymore. Just really grindy, but no more so than endgame STO

Ha. So true.

STO is probably one of the good F2P MMOs in that the C-store content is theoretically accessible without paying anything & is mostly either sidegrades (such as ship refits), cosmetic (costumes & bridge packs) or conveniences (extra inventory space & that lot). Given how other F2P games (such as the one in the video) handle it, we got lucky with this one.
