im not at the right tier yet but im stuck over having more engineering on my escort or science? |

Depends what you use more, ensign science or ensign engineer skill.. Since there is no real thing to spend your money in you can as well buy both and try your luck. |

Personally I'd recommend getting both yes. At tier 5 a random ship weapon costs more then then the actual ships from the vendor. I'm playing a science officer so I went for the one with the extra science slot. I haven't actually used my ship yet though, same for the cruiser. I have 4 tier 5 ships but I mostly stick to using just 1 of them. |

If you're a tactical character, which I hope you are: Fleet Escort. Science consoles are being nerfed in the next patch, as are some engineering ones (EPS Flow Regulators going from 3 to 1.5) Fleet Escorts have more durability and an extra console slot to make up for the coming EPS nerf. Science-slot Deflector consoles (Which I assume you use) will only be doing +15 instead of +30 at Mark 10. As for ability slots - Engineering Team/Reverse Shield Polarity/Emergency Power to shields. |
