I'm totally putting on a black armband for this.

Lucasarts fired my imagination as a kid for a loooooong time. T_T

To me, it's like hearing that my awesomely funny character of a grandfather just died.

...and then being told, "never mind that my good lad! his resurrected body will be be posessed by the spirit of someone smarter and possibly funnier! ...oh and also he'll go by the same name even though he's not your grandfather anymore, so you can still talk to him"

again, T_T I say.....

I bought my first Intel based PC solely to play X-Wing and Rebel Assault when they came out twenty years ago. Add in the sequels, the Jedi Knight series, and all those classic point n click adventures, Lucasarts was one of the great ones. What's extra sad is Star Wars: Frontal Assault was supposed to be a preemptive release for the basis of SW: Battlefront 3. Hope they can get things licensed and finished elsewhere.

Rebellion and the jedi knight series were by far my favorite pc games of all time

Does not sound like the end of gaming, just the end of doing the development in house. Wondering if all of those people let go just started their own design studio who Disney will now contract externally? Thanks for the post.
