FLEET BANK RULES

I. Fleet Bank Purpose:

The inventory in the Fleet banks is for use by members in leveling their characters and for Fleet crafting. Inventory is accumulated in the banks from member donations. Energy Credits (EC) are likewise accumulated in the banks from donations and from sales by the Fleet Quartermaster of excess inventory. The EC raised by the banks are available for Fleet sponsored events and purchases for the Fleet.

The banks are there for all our members. Don't be afraid to use them. :)

II. Member Rules:

When using the banks, members must follow these rules:

    1. Use of the Fleet banks is on an honor system under which members are expected to eventually give as much or more to the banks as they receive. Members should balance their withdraws from the banks with donations to the banks of roughly equivalent value over time. A rule of thumb, you should donate items or EC worth at least half the price you would pay on the Exchange for the same item you are taking.

    2. Items in the Fleet banks are only to be taken for personal use by members. Members may not take items to sell on the exchange, recycle for cash, or give to friends outside the fleet. In order to insure proper bank use, items may only be withdrawn for imminent personal use; not to keep for possible use in the future

    3. Crafting materials from the banks may only be used for crafting items for personal use by Fleet members.

    4. Members may obtain bank items in amounts in excess of their daily withdrawal limits by request to Captain and Command rank personnel who may grant such requests at their discretion. Captain and Command rank personnel are personally responsible for maintaining a rough balance between the value of their withdraws and deposits (i.e., Rule 1) whether they withdrew items for themselves or for the benefit of other members.

Fleet bank use is monitored, those found to be abusing their bank privileges will face disciplinary procedures.

III. Bank Administration:

  • The Fleet Quartermaster has the primary responsibility for monitoring bank use for compliance with Fleet Bank Rules, maintaining the bank organization, and selling or recycling excess bank inventory. The Fleet Quartermaster is appointed by Fleet Command.

  • The proceeds of all sales and recycling of inventory from the banks must be deposited back into the Fleet banks.

  • EC raised by the banks must be spent only for the benefit of the Fleet, and all expenditures must be approved by the Fleet Admiral or the Fleet XO.

Command rank personnel have unlimited access to all tabs, but they are expected to use their greater access only to assist in bank management and for assisting members or recruits to obtain items by request above the daily withdrawal limits. As with captains, withdrawals by Command rank personnel for others are subject to Rule 4 above.
