Sorry,

I'm with Goldy here. Initially I used to joke DS9 was to boldly sit where no-one has bothered to sit before..

But now looking back I feel DS9 is one of the better, if not best series of ST. And in my book Jadzia Dax > Troi :bolian:

Don't get me wrong, I loved DS9, partially because it dealt with what actually happened when the peace-loving hippy Federation actually had to get their act together and fight a war. Of course, StarFleet has become more and more militarized after Roddenberry died, and as time has gone on (I remember reading somewhere that the Sovereign class was designated as a "Heavy Cruiser," but for all I know that was Star Trek Armada). Of course, the world changes, and in the modern day, I can see how the "Everyone can just sit down and get along" stuff of the early Star Trek universe would get on a few nerves.
