List all of your STO Forum Aliases or other accounts: Naldoran ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Character's name (Elshana@Naldoran): Please list former STO fleets (if any): Proteus Reason for leaving former STO fleets (if applicable): The short of it is that the F2P transition and SWTOR were not kind to Proteus Fleet, and even as a senior officer there I was getting frustrated with certain aspects of the fleet culture, the extremely rapid member turnover, and general lack of community there. When I realized that all my friends had left, I started looking around for a new home. After weeks and weeks of not being able to get any interest in fleet activities, I finally decided that I needed to move on. Mostly through activity on the STO forums. What made you interested in choosing the 12th fleet? After dealing with Proteus fleet for a while and trying to bring order to things, the idea of joining a large-well-organized fleet had a certain appeal to me, and I'd seen that 12th fleet did some impressive stuff in the area of PvP and CE fleet actions; I figure that a fleet which can pull those off actually has a bit of cohesiveness. A fleet that was at least selective about its members, rather than an 'everyone should have invite privilege and use it as much as possible' sort of fleet was also important. After running with some of your MACO division, this fleet seems to have some good people in it, and I'd like to join a fleet that does STF runs on a regular basis. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ STO interests (Please number your interests from 1 to 7 in order of preference, with 1 being your main interest and 7 being your least interest): (4) General PVE and External Fleet Security [Section 31] (3) Space PvP [Tactical] (1) STFs and Ground PvP [MACO] (5) General PvE [Engineering] (7) Role Playing [Medical] (6) Group PvE and Space Exploring (Creative Writing) [Exploration] (2) General PVE and Fleet Bank management [Logistics and Supply] What days and times are you usually online?: I'm usually online daily, in the late afternoons and evenings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Have you ever played an MMORPG? If so, which one and how long: STO is my first-ever MMORPG, I've got a lifetime sub and have been playing since October ------------------------------------------------------------------------ In a paragraph please explain how you will benefit the 12th fleet? Xceptionzero tells me that you folks could use more STF team leaders, and that is something that I do very well. I have extensive experience with all of the elite STFs and enjoy leading people on those missions. I'm good with moderately sized groups, and like to teach people how to do the missions. I understand that 12th has some very good space PvP experience, and that bleeds over a lot into the space STFs, but I've found that I very much enjoy the ground missions, and would be willing to lend 12th my expertise in that area. I've chatted a bit with Xceptionzero and Arkin, and I think that I could be a good fit for your MACO section. Having been a senior officer in another fleet for a while, I would also be interested in some lower-level leadership positions down the road, but that will come with time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Will you give your future division's Admiral at least 3 days notice if you decide to resign? Playing the exchange for the fleet, and crafting stuff that other people brought into the fleet bank, I reckon that I pulled in about 10 million EC / week for the fleet. Making money on the exchange isn't that hard if you go about it systematically. I'm probably going to end up with the MACO division if accepted, and those are the people I've done stuff with, but I wouldn't mind helping out a bit with other stuff. Heretic has mentioned that Fleet Starbases, when they come out will be around the 300 million EC mark, and every fleet will want one when they do, I believe in being ready for that day. I've chatted a good bit with Arkin, talk to him as well if you've got questions, though he said he'd drop by this thread. I should also mention that I've got alts in another fleet, just to keep in touch with some friends, but as I understand the rules around here that isn't a problem for most people. |

| Just a quick question, got to dot the i's you know. Your two Klingon alts (Sarolla and Myrdinn) are in the Fleet KDF Honor Guard, Alliare is in Starfleet M.A.C.O., and Rachael is in Investment Bankers Can you confirm that these are the fleets you referenced to keep in touch with friends? I can indeed confirm that. The Investment Bankers is a private banking fleet (no surprises there I hope) that I've got going with a friend or two, and I'll also note that the KDF Honor Guard & Starfleet MACO are the KDF/Fed versions of the same fleet. When you make contacts with other good STF folks, you tend to want to keep in touch.
