You don't have to re-roll to get it. You can customize the ship to look like any of the three, or mix and match.
I got my next level ship in today's test, and it just give you a "cruiser" then you can select what you want it to look like, out of the couple of options available.

You get a klassik konnie if you preordered (like the NCC-1701). But if you didn't you can get a 25th century refit at the lieutenant rank. Its weird that you get a connie but not an excelsior though
