WOW! I just happened to check the Members Roster again and the fleet is at 249 members. This is awesome considering that the max Fleet size in STO is 250! Way to go! :)

the roster reads 249 but like all things some are waiting approval, and others probably went or will go inactive and id assume be replaced with more active personel

That's great if our fleet grows beyond what we have now. I'm just stateing the fact that in-game, at least at launch, that 250 is the Max amount.

Ideally. When I was recruiting for JAG, I looked over and sent e-mail to close to 100 people. One of the criteria I had was that they were inactive for a month or longer. So some people seem to have fallen to the way side or are waiting for game launch.

Wow that's a lot of people, I guess a lot are waiting to actually get in game before being really active, also with the holidays many might be away from the pc for long periods of time.

I am sure that all 249 will probably not join the game at start. Also, based on experience, 1/4 who start with us will drop off after the first month. We will have to recruit heavily in-game on a continuous basis if we want a highly active Fleet.

You are right, Fritoman. I didn't think about that. Still...it is cool to think that even before the game went Live...we already had a full fleet. I'm also sure that we will have to recruit more. Hopefully by then the 'Starfleet Academy' will be operational. :)

Wow... QUICK! Someone recruit one more person!


Back in my City of Heroes days, our super groups wouldn't allow more than something like 50 members (don't remember the actual number) so in order to fix this, we actually ran more than one SG. The leaders would simply make another character and put themselves in the second one.

We also had a means to allow all members of both supergroups to chat as if they were just talking in the group chat, so that may be a factor. But as far as going over our numbers, that could be a possible solution.

That could be one of the roles of the Academy, venture with non-Fleet members, help them out, etc. to try to get them to see the benefits of the 12th.
